Equipment of the maternity ward "Brigitte Eickhoff"

The maternity ward “Maternité Brigitte Eickhoff” in Cité Mame Dior de Keur Massar was built in the years 2003-2004 with financial support of the Foundation UNESCO “Education for Children in Need” and of Ms Brigitte Eickhoff. The project was implemented by HOPE’87-Sénégal. Since its inception, the maternity ward has steadily improved in terms of quality of its services for the pregnant women and mothers with babies of this densly populated suburb of Dakar. The high number of female patients visiting the maternity ward is a clear signal for quality. The maternity ward recorded an average of 50 births per month, 150 gynecological examinations, 815 family planning sessions, 250 pre-natal testings and 400 children vaccinations.
