The National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO and HOPE’87 Moldova are working to create equal opportunities in sports and recreational activities for children in the Republic of Moldova. The overall aim is to ensure the possibility of children (including those with special needs) to enjoy and engage in sports and recreational activities in a safe and healthy environment.

The purpose of this project is to identify and develop the children’s physical capacities and talents with limited health capacities. The goal is to eliminate the children’s problems that relate to their missing motor skills, improve their health and facilitate their social integration efficiently into their society.

By training coaches and trainers as well as providing and maintaining sports equipment, 250 children (including those with special needs) can participate in a sporting event. This is a great way for children, especially those with special needs, to engage in their community and have an equal opportunity to become physically active in a well-managed environment.
