The project “Education and Training for Risk Prevention in Earthquake Areas of Pakistan” was successfully completed and achieved its objective by training 697 craftsmen, 1,334 local community members, 1,000 students and 42 teachers. Besides training in construction related trades, the programme included awareness raising and sensitisation on earthquake resistant construction techniques. This was a co-financed project by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and was implemented with the support of the local partner, the Aga Khan Planning and Building Services Pakistan.
