In Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, HOPE’87 is currently implementing a health education and early childhood awareness program. The aim is to develop a framework of basic knowledge and skills for Rohingya refugee children under the age of five, their parents and the public, reflecting current knowledge of early childhood development – the physical, mental, emotional and behavioral development of children.

This project promotes a healthy and ideal environment for these children at home, at school and in the wider community, and improves their access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective learning environment. It also encourages positive behaviors among caregivers and their children regarding nutritional needs and food supplements, and promotes respect and understanding of women and children in society.
