This project, financed by the City of Vienna, provides a solution for efficient storage and conservation of rice in the rural area of Rugombo, Munyika Hill, Burundi. The project also offers the inhabitants training in harvesting and post-harvest procedures, in community savings and credit associations as well as in income generating activities in order to ensure a sustainable way of rice storage and contribute to the economic self-determination and empowerment of the beneficiaries.
