Integrated project to fight poverty in the suburbs of Dakar

Supporting primary education and computer literacy in Dakar (phase 2)

The second phase of this project started in June 2012. This phase included the construction of the four remaining classrooms in the public primary school in Parcelles Assainies Unité 10 Dakar, as well as the equipment of the computer room in the public primary school in Parcelles Assainies Unité 24 Dakar.

Project Background: 

Millions of children around the world are deprived of the right to education. According to UNESCO, one out of three children never see the inside of a classroom. As we are „In Consultative Status with UNESCO“, HOPE’87 cooperated with UNESCO as well as with national governments and partners to support the MDG 2 and achieve “Universal Primary Education” and “Gender Equality” by 2015.
