Expansion of the Baraka Primary School

The general objective of the Baraka Primary School extension project was to contribute for Senegal to the achievement of the fourth objective for Sustainable Development: to ensure access for all to quality education on a sustainable basis and promote opportunities for lifelong learning. This was measured by the fact that all the children who have enrolled at Baraka Primary School have access to inclusive and quality education.

The specific objective of this action was to contribute to the improvement of the primary education of the children of the vulnerable district of Baraka, Liberty VI, Dakar, Senegal. This was measured by the fact that 135 more students attended school in 2019.

The following two results were achieved:

1) The learning conditions of pupils from 6 to 12 years of the Baraka Primary School were improved and strengthened

2) The attendance and retention of students, especially girls and handicapped children at the Baraka Primary School, was reinforced
