According to UN some 25,187 schools have been destroyed by the floods in Pakistan in the autumn of 2022 and it created an educational emergency in the country which needs rapid response. HOPE’87, responding to this educational emergency, initiated an activity by the name of “Education in Emergencies” (EiE) under its AcCESS project funded by EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid & Austrian Development Agency to rehabilitate 11 formal schools in the district Dera Ismail Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.
