“Cité Baraka – from a slum to dignified living” - Visit to the President of Senegal, H.E. Macky Sall

Yesterday, Vice President of the YOU Foundation, Mrs Claudia Jerger, and HOPE’87 Sénégal Country Representative, Mr Boubacar Mané, met the Senegalese President, H.E. Macky Sall, to inform him about the advancement of the project “Cité Baraka – from a slum to dignified living” in Dakar.

The project aims at alleviating the difficulties of the population, in particular of the young people, by proposing multiple services for educational purposes to the population of Baraka and its surroundings as well as to ensure that the entire population of Baraka, especially the young and therefore the main target group of this project, can easily access the DIGI computer centre at a lower cost and in an enchanting setting.

The Senegalese President has shown great interest in the project and has congratulated Mrs Jerger and Mr Mane for the successful development of the project in Baraka Sicap Liberté VI in Dakar, which was implemented and supported by UNITED TEAMS – the Strategic Alliance of the YOU Foundation – Education for Children in Need and HOPE’87 as well as by Casa Orascom.
