New Baraka - Rehabilitation of a slum / project successfully completed

Phase 1A of the reconstruction project of the former slum of Baraka in the heart of Senegal's capital Dakar was successfully completed in summer 2020. 127 families were able to move into clean flats with running water and electricity. 

Unity Brings Change - COVID-19 mitigation in Bangladesh

The COVID-19 pandemic has put Bangladesh as well as all other countries in the world under enormous strain. Many people lost their jobs in the South Asian country and were bound to leave the cities. This eventually resulted in an economic crisis and enforced the instability of people’s incomes, especially during the time of the lockdown.

On November 2nd, Vienna, the host city of HOPE’87, became the target of a cowardly terrorist attack.

AcCESS project: Reopening of schools in Pakistan in the context of the COVID-19 crisis

In Pakistan, the schools reopened on the 30th of September 2020 to welcome the students after a gap of more than six months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Only half of the children attend the classes on alternate days of the week.
