Sport knows no boundaries - a sports center for Mali

Against the background of the terrorist activities of the fundamentalist al-Qaeda in the Maghreb and the militant Islamist group Ansar Dine, the Austrian organization HOPE'87 has been working since 2008 in the border area of ​​Mali and Burkina Faso around the inhabitants of this area without prospects through educational and income-generating projects.

"WU FYEREBOWE": Our Senoufo Wardrobe

Most West African countries have considerable ethnic diversity. This is also the case in Burkina Faso, a country of 274,000 km2 with a population of nearly 18,000,000 inhabitants, which include a mosaic of nearly 60 different ethnic and linguistic groups.

Among these, there are the Senoufos. Their territorial area consists of southwestern Burkina Faso, southern Mali and northern Côte d'Ivoire. They are thus straddling these 3 countries. The Senoufos are farming people focusing on growing cereals as well as cotton.

Women selling fruit juice in Baraka

The project of women vendors of fruit juice in Baraka contributed overall to the development of the policy of the female entrepreneurship in Senegal. The specific objectives of the project aimed at significantly improving the income of the women vendors.

In order to achieve the objective, the following two results were achieved:

1) The production, storage and marketing conditions for the selling of the fruit juices were improved and strengthened in Baraka

2)Technical and financial management of the production and conservation of the fruit juices were assured

Nikita OP

This project comprised the coverage of the costs for the operation of the paraplegic young man named Nikita as well as the coverage for the hospital bills and support in subsistence and local transport for Nikita and his accompanying mother Irina.

YES Center Tangail

The purpose of this project was to empower the youth, especially girls and young women, by strengthening their skills and raising their voices for economic self-reliance, and to take leadership roles in poverty alleviation initiatives in Tangail and Dhaka Districts. By developing skills and providing access to information technology, the youth's productivity increased in these areas. 

Expansion of the Baraka Primary School

The general objective of the Baraka Primary School extension project was to contribute for Senegal to the achievement of the fourth objective for Sustainable Development: to ensure access for all to quality education on a sustainable basis and promote opportunities for lifelong learning. This was measured by the fact that all the children who have enrolled at Baraka Primary School have access to inclusive and quality education.

Support of young women fishmongers of Yoff Dakar Senegal

The general objective of the project was to support young women fishmongers in order to contribute to the first Sustainable Development "Eliminate all poverty" in Senegal.

Huge success at the 5th Humanitarian Congress

The fifth Humanitarian Congress took place on March 29, 2019 under the title "The Future of Humanitarian Aid" in the main and small ceremonial halls of the main building of the University of Vienna. It was a huge success and HOPE’87 is proud to have been a part of this inspiring and informative get-together.

Educational Centre for Children (including children with special educational needs) AGAPIS, St. Dumitru Church Parish, Chisinau, Moldova

UNESCO NatCom and HOPE'87 Moldova are working together to bring quality education for all in the Republic of Moldova through the implementation of information technology (IT) in trainings dispended at the Social Center of the Church of St. Dumitru. This allows them to better integrate into society and the labor market.

"I grow healthy: support for the KG in Chirsovo"

UNESCO NatCom and HOPE'87 Moldova are working within the Republic of Moldova to contribute to quality and inclusive early childhood education. The project objective is to support the socio-psychological development of preschooler children, especially those with special needs, in Kindergarten 1 "Sunny".
