Smart and Intelligent Learning in Education (SmILE)

The SmILE project’s overall objective was to contribute to the achievement of inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all (SDGs 4, 5 and 10) in Pakistan. The specific objective of the project was to promote quality education and thus improve higher order thinking and science learning in 24 government secondary schools of ESED through blended online learning with face-to-face instruction.

Major activities of the SmILE project were the provision of additional hardware at IT laboratories, the installation of learning software and digital content, the development and update of digital content, training of teachers and principals/head teachers, training of students (IT Champions), mentoring and coaching of teachers as well as implementing Learn Smart Classroom and lessons planning.
