In Pakistan heavy monsoon rains, the rapid melting of snow and outbursts from glacial lakes from the 16th to 22nd of July have led to devastating flash floods and the flooding of the Indus River in various locations across Pakistan.

Disaster Relief for Nor'wester cyclone affected people in Bangladesh

On 4th April 2015, a devastating tornado, the so-called Nor’wester, lashed through Bangladesh. The Bogra District was the worst affected location. HOPE’87 Bangladesh, together with their local Partner NGO Gram Bikash Sangstha (GBS), took immediate action to contribute to the provision of emergency relief to the vulnerable population of Bogra District.

Severe storms hit Bangladesh and Bhutan

On Saturday, 4 April 2015, severe storms have caused massive destruction and damage to life and property in Bangladesh and Bhutan. The HOPE'87 Offices in both countries have immediately reacted to the disaster and have already started relief activities to provide food and shelter for affected families.
