HOPE’87, with its humanitarian aid project in Myanmar, set itself the goal to provide water, sanitation and hygiene as well as to respond to the nutrition and health needs of the internally displaced people living in the camps of Paletwa.

Humanitarian Response for Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

In August, our project that provides timely lifesaving assistance and protection to Rohingya refugees has started! Its aim is to improve the living conditions and build resilience of Rohingya refugees living in the camps as well as of affected host communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char.

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Every year on October 17th the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is celebrated in order to acknowledge the effort and struggle of people living in poverty.

International Day of Rural Women.

On October 15th we celebrated the International Day of Rural Women.

Rural women are the key for a world free from hunger and poverty and are thus remembered annually on the 15th of October in order to raise awareness of the importance of achieving gender equality and empowering women as a means to fight against extreme poverty, hunger and malnutrition.

World Teachers’ Day

Today we are celebrating World Teachers’ Day.

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on October 5th to celebrate all teachers around the world and to commemorate the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers.

It is with deep sadness that we announce that our dear friend and colleague, Mr Benoît Muhimuzi, passed away in Brussels on 18th of September 2021 after a short illness. He will be buried in Kigali (Ruanda) next week in the presence of his wife, children and family.
