UNESCO General Conference 3rd to 18th of November 2015

As in previous years, the Secretary General of HOPE'87  represented the organization at this year's UNESCO General Conference in Paris. Furthermore, Mr Ottitsch was also appointed again to serve on the official Austrian delegation to the UNESCO GC as expert and to participate in the Education Commission.
The General Conference consists of the representatives of UNESCO's Member States. It meets every two years, and is attended by Member States and Associate Members, together with observers for non-Member States, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations such as HOPE'87. The General Conference determines the policies and the main lines of work of the Organization. Its duty is to set the programmes and the budget of UNESCO. This year the GC elected a new Executive Board and voted for H.E. Ambassador Dr Michael Worbs  as its President for a two-years term.
