Siemens Foundation (Germany), UNESCO Foundation-Education for Children in Need and HOPE’87 strengthen their cooperation for Ethiopia

In a recent meeting in München at the HQ of the Siemens Foundation, Ms Filtzinger, Head of Department and Ms Weyrich, Desk Officer of the Siemens Foundation, Mr Jägers, Director of the UNESCO Foundation Education for Children in Need and HOPE’87 Secretary General Robert Ottitsch agreed on a partnership based, effective cooperation for Ethiopia. This entails a more streamlined communication between the three stakeholders as well as exploring additional and complementary fields of cooperation, such as supporting the educational kits put together by the Siemens Foundation and intended for use in German schools for various topics such as ”access to water” and water conflicts. Furthermore, the project “Humanitarian Crises Response: promoting development of pastoralists through building community resilience to disaster in Afar Regional State, funded by the Siemens Foundation and supported by the UNESCO Foundation Education for Children in Need, was assessed and a link (http://www.siemens-stiftung.org/de/wasser-und-gesundheit.html) established to the website of the Siemens Foundation for best practice sharing.
