The European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) is supporting disaster preparedness (DP)/Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects (previously DIPECHO budget line) across countries of South Asia region. The workshop gathered more than 70 participants from about 30 organizations/institutions working across the region in community-based disaster preparedness (CBDP) and school-based disaster preparedness (SBDP)/school safety.

The workshop brought together practitioners from six countries and across twenty-three agencies. The DRR practitioners played an active role throughout the workshop, through a participatory process involving presentations, plenary discussions and small group exercises.
