A new partnership has opened up in Vietnam

In context of the project for youth empowerment in Vietnam, a new exciting partnership with the Centre for Women’s Development Support (CWDSwas achieved, specializing in tailoring, fashion design, cooking and hospitality. Girls and young women at the Skills Training Centre in Hanoi are the main beneficiaries of the organisation’s vocational training courses. At the same time, HOPE’87 is supporting the SDG 5 with emphasis.

The project was implemented in cooperation with HOPE’87's partner ADRA Vietnam. Within the project, successes has taken place at a fast-pace that aims to improve the life skills of 500 youth in Hanoi, with 60% of them being girls and young women. 

The aim is to improve the economic self-reliance of these young people and for them to successfully enter the job market, to sell their skills, or to pursue education/training at advanced schools or universities. For this matter, HOPE’87 has supported students with relevant equipment, such as laptops, internet modems and bicycles to ensure their flexible mobility to the training centres.

Overall, the project addresses following Sustainable Development Goals: No Poverty (Goal 1), Quality Education (Goal 4), Gender Equality (Goal 5), Good Jobs and Economic Growth (Goal 8), Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10), Peace and Justice (Goal 16).
