HOPE'87 participates in the 34th UNESCO General Conference

The UNESCO General Conference, held every two years, will be inaugurated by Director-General Koichiro Matsuura on 16th of October and will last till 3rd of November 2007. HOPE'87, enjoying the official status "In Operational Relationship with UNESCO", has been invited like in previous years to attend the Conference.

Since 1991 HOPE'87 maintains official relations with UNESCO and acts as implementing partner for educational projects, especially for the Programme Sector Social and Human Sciences (SHS). Such projects were carried out, amongst others, in Burkina Faso, Senegal, El Salvador, and Bosnia-Herzegovina to name just a few of the host countries. A particular cooperation has been forged with the thematic programme "Education for Children in Need".
 
The Secretary General of HOPE'87, Robert Ottitsch, will participate in the General Conference as member of the official Austrian delegation, the Assistant Secretary General, Margherita Tinti will represent HOPE'87 in the different Commissions.
